NEW PTO

New Parent-Teacher Organization for Garfield!

The new PTO, created in 2010, is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to enriching the experience of every student, teacher and parent at Garfield Elementary School. We try to help the school in any way we can, whether by designing new projects, or volunteering in the classroom, or obtaining the equipment and supplies that our teachers need, or raising funds to support enrichment programs like art, field trips, athletics, and technology.

Parents, our school needs your energy, skills, and ideas! If you’d like to get involved, even if you can volunteer just one hour of your time, please let us know. As the San Francisco public schools face some of their largest budget cuts in the history of the District, the involvement of our parent community is all the more valuable. Together we can make Garfield an even better place for our kids.
